OpenStudy (elonasushchik):

I got C. Am I correct?! :P Which logarithmic graph can be used to approximate the value of y in the equation 2y = 3? http://prntscr.com/b7k7rl

OpenStudy (mathmate):

Hints: \(2^y = 3\) can be expressed also as \(y=log_2(3)\). So you're looking for a graph corresponding to logarithm of log to the base 2.

OpenStudy (phi):

yes. the graphs have shapes y= log(x) you want the curve for y = log_2 (x) (log base 2) and you know log_2(2) is 1 so you want the curve that contains the point (2,1)

OpenStudy (phi):

btw, you should write your equation as 2^y =3 (2y really means 2 times y)

OpenStudy (elonasushchik):

Yes sorry abt dat. I would be getting A. then.

OpenStudy (phi):

how would you get choice A ? the last graph shows the curve at y=1 when x=2

OpenStudy (elonasushchik):

Sorry I was looking at the wrong graph >.< Thx
