http://prntscr.com/b6x6hf 4. I got LA=28 terms of pi and SA=36 in terms of pi I got the LA right, but I keep getting 36 for the SA. What am I doing wrong?
@jhonyy9
how you get the SA ?
SA = circumference of circle *7 you have do it same ?
SA=2pi4+LA SA=8pi+28 SA=36pi
ohhh sorry i meant lateral area
LA = 2pir *7
Yep
so and what you said that not can you getting right ?
The SA is supposed to be 32 pi according to my teacher but I got 36 pi
SA = 2*pir^2 + LA SA = 2*4pi +28pi SA = 8pi +28pi = 36pi
you can getting 32pi for SA just than this cylinder has on the top open do you understand me - not is closed just bottom and on the top is open bc. in this way you add to 28pi just 4pi and so will result 32pi ok. dear my friend ?
or than you check this image this cylinder has marked the radius just on the top so i think that bottom - down - is open and so hence you get for SA = 32pi
I'm a bit confused What do you mean I can get 32 pi?
hope this is clearly now for you was my pleasure good luck bye bye
same your teacher for SA = 32pi not hence you wrote there above ?
@jhonyy9 Yes that was her answer but I got 36pi
but than you see and than his is true that this cylinder is open down so bottom so than in this case you get like result for SA =32pi
than this is true sorry there missed the t from this
do you understand me - just in this way you can getting 32pi for SA
