OK The first part where the line is sloping could mean the journey by car to your local supermarket. The horizontal line represents the time you spent shopping. Finally the downward sloping line represents your journey back home. Notice that this line is steeper than the first journey which mean you drove faster going back home The slope of the lines represent your speed during the journey.
