OpenStudy (jcmbourque19):

Math Help Please!!! What is the value of x so that the line segment with endpoints A(x, 1) and B(2, −3) is parallel to the line segment with endpoints C(−5, 2) and D(−3, 5)? I thought I knew how to work this problem out but my answer did not match any of my choices. I hope someone can work it out with me so that I can get to an answer.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

1. Parallel lines have equal slopes. 2. Calculate the slope of the line which contains points C and D
