Which answer best describes why factory owners often hired women and children in the 1800s? They wanted to prevent men from leaving their jobs to work at the factories. They wanted to let families work at the same jobs to help keep them strong. They wanted to hire people who work for the lowest wages to increase profits. They wanted to help women and children, who didn't have many job options at that time
