i think we been through this but now you just need to find out the lengths of the side AB, you know how to do that?

LM = 1/2 (AB + DC)
given LM=8x+5
then 8x+5 = 1/2(AB + DC)
multiply both sides by 2 to eliminate 1/2
16x +10= (AB + DC)

given AB=7x+4, DC=78
16x +10= (AB + DC) = (7x +4 +78)
Combine like items

9x = 4 + 78 -10 = 72
divide both sides by 9

ANSWER: So the value of x = 8
