Fan/Testimony/Medal The equation of the axis of symmetry is x=-1. If the point (0,1) is on the parabola, which point is the symmetric point?

OpenStudy (will.h):

are there any options?

OpenStudy (hothotleg):

Oh! Yes, let me list them-

OpenStudy (hothotleg):

A) (-1,1) B) (0,-1) C) (-2,1) D) (-1,-2)

OpenStudy (will.h):

okay im not sure if thats help but i think we needed to have the original function, but since we do have the line of symmetry (listed in the attachment) we only need to find a point that is listed on the line of symmetry. so from what i think the answer would be both A and D just not quite sure about this one but i just hoped to help somehow. :)

OpenStudy (hothotleg):

I will go with A! thank you very much!

OpenStudy (will.h):

you welcome :)
