OpenStudy (awesomemiss):

google whould have answered this

OpenStudy (retireed):

rise over run basically how fast it goes UP over how far it moves horizontal it is the change in the y axis over the change in the x axis if it goes up and to the right the slope is positive if is goes down and to the right the slope is negative graphically two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) slope = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) going up a hill is a positive slope, going down a hill is a negative slope
