OpenStudy (gokuporter):

Have you heard of the "Battle of the Sexes" What is the correct punctuation for this sentence?

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

@Zale101

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

I'm wondering if you add a period outside of the quotation marks or inside. @arabpride

OpenStudy (arabpride):

For one, lol, I think there should be a question mark at the end of that sentence, not a period, and the name of the title has to be isolated with quotation marks before any further punctuation.

OpenStudy (arabpride):

So, a question mark \(after\) the quotation mark. :3

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

Thank you.

OpenStudy (arabpride):

No problem! Glad I can help c:

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

Also, is it a interrogative sentence?

OpenStudy (arabpride):

Well, think about it: what does it mean to \("interrogate"\) someone?

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

Ask them questions.

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

:3

OpenStudy (arabpride):

Exactly! See the root word “interrogate” in the word “interrogative”? They run along the same lines. So what you’re asking me is: Is this sentence above a \(question\)? Well, what would you say? Is it? :]

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

Yes, the sentence above is a question.

OpenStudy (arabpride):

Therefore, it's interrogative. :3
