For picture, original note card would be just 4" x 6"

But then you remove corners by cutting out x by x then new note card would look like this:

length = 6-2x
width = 4-2x

@Michele_Laino sorry - but than just the corners are cutted down - with 1 time 1 dimensions so i think that the length and the width not will be changed
