Check my answer? The Fibonacci sequence was first discovered during a study of rabbits. If newborn rabbits become adults in one month, each pair of adult rabbits produces one pair each month, and no rabbits die, then how many pairs of rabbits would be produced after six and twelve months? Should be 233 rabbits? For six months it should be 13 rabbits.

OpenStudy (will.h):

Since each month 1 rabbit become adult and each month rabbits adult produce one rabbit each month and no rabbits die. therefore the total per month would be 2 rabbits. multiply 2 rabbits by 6 first we would get 12 and then multiply 12 by 12 months we would get 144. seems logical? (Note am not so sure) i just wanted to try to help you.

Fibonacci series;; 1 , 1 ,2 , 3 ,5 , 8 , 13, 21 and so on Note that from the 3rd number in the series the next number is the sum of the 2 previous numbers.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

After 6 months there are 13 . Can you work out the number after 12 months?
