OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):
if two points are given find slope as (x1,y1) and (x2,y2)
slope=(y2-y1) / (x2-x1)
OpenStudy (lia22):
Oh so pretty much
OpenStudy (lia22):
so for number one
OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):
points are (-2,5) and (2,0) solve it for Q 1

Sorry for making you wait
OpenStudy (lia22):
I was doing something :)
OpenStudy (lia22):
the answer is (-2,2) and (5,0) right?
OpenStudy (lia22):
for question 1?
OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):
no use formula for find slope written above

OpenStudy (lia22):
I don't get it
OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):
slope=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
=(5-0)/(-2-2)
=5/-4
=-5/4
where (x1,y1)=(2,0)
and (x2,y2)=(-2,5)
OpenStudy (lia22):
uh
OpenStudy (lia22):
oh?
OpenStudy (lia22):
I am sort of missing the point

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):
what is problem ?
OpenStudy (lia22):
I dunno I just sort of don't understand?
OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):
for finding slope of a line need two points on line then use formula for slope and find it simply
OpenStudy (lia22):
._. so what now?
OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):
i solve Q 1 and ans is above is -5/4

OpenStudy (lia22):
brb
OpenStudy (lia22):
back
OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):
what now
OpenStudy (lia22):
Umm so the answer for number one is -5/4?

What does the word "slope" mean to you?
OpenStudy (skullpatrol):
Are you still there?
OpenStudy (lia22):
Yes
OpenStudy (lia22):
To me it means like a curve I guess?
OpenStudy (skullpatrol):
Nope, it is used for straight lines.
