What is the area of this triangle?

OpenStudy (koala2wet):

OpenStudy (koala2wet):

I really need help

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

than you check the base of triangle is 6 units length the height is 7 units length hope you know formula for area of a triangle = base time height divide 2 do you can calculi it now the area ?

OpenStudy (koala2wet):

one of my answer choices are A=1/2(Y2-Y1)(X2-X1) is this correct

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so and how many will get for area in this way ?

OpenStudy (koala2wet):

i really dont understand geometry can u explain it

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

how i have wrote there above you need getting the right value of area equal 24 unit squared

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

looking formula what you wrote above so i think not is really right bc. subtracting y_1 from y_2 you will get the length of the base but subtracting x_1 from x_2 so in this way not will get the length of the height i think will be more ussefully than you subtract x_1 from x_3 and hence will get the length of the height correct
