a. Determine the radius of the hat.

b. You want the hat to have a slant height of 8 inches. Draw an image that models this situation and include all of the measurements you know.
c. How much material would you need to make the hat?

Where r is radius of hat.
Then it is conical in shape so total material used is lateral surface area of this cone which is (Πrl) and l=8 inches.
