I need somebody here<3
I need to write a report analyzing an Industrial Revolution achievement
Choose one of the following topics as your extended writing assignment for this unit: 1. Select one of the inventions of the Industrial Revolution. Describe the background of the invention, the steps leading to its creation, and a description of how it works. 2. Research a corporation (in your own city, if possible). List all of the job titles within the corporation, the responsibilities of each position, and the manner in which people are chosen for their positions. 3. Write a report on the life of one of America's corporate tycoons, showing how he made his way up to his position. Choose from the following list: Rockefeller, Carnegie, J. P. Morgan, Harriman, Vanderbilt, James Hill. You should use three research sources in preparing your typed report of 250 words. Use correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling in the report. List your research sources at the end of the report.

Hrmm do I have to choose one , I chose #3
LOL U DIDN'T READ IT? x'D
Well, you said you have to write about industrial revolution, thought it was the first. But the third is equally good. I would approach as follows: Start researching all three, spend at least 15 minutes on each. Gather the info obtained for each and then decide based on the one you're most at ease with. Same idea as you don't have to fall in love with the first boy you meet! lol
Ayeee lol xD I did look thrue them all, the last one looks good enough ;3
@mathmate lol i finally finnished it ;) @mathmate can u check? @mathmate
On May 27, 1794, on the the Port of Richmond Island, New York. Cornelius dropped from school at age eleven, to start working on a ferry. He was working on his father's ferry. As a grown-up man he married to his cousin Sophia Johnson in 1813. In a few years he began to work as a captain on a steamship for Thomas Gibson. Cornelius durability in business for growth was really strong, that after all Gibson once stated "I'm afraid of this man" about Vanderbilt. While working for Gibbsons, Cornelius had his own small business, he had the steamship enterprises. Later on, in 1829, Vanderbilt stopped working for the Gibbsons family, and began to concentrate on his own businesses more. At this time, his small business began to acquire some smaller railroads in Boston and New England. Cornelius first major railroad was acquired in 1863, after he bought the New York and Harlem Railroad, which started in the heart of Manhattan. After all he started to buy other railroads as well with lines connected with or in competition with his own. His business spread through states and got to Canada too. In 1870, Cornelius combined some of his railroads in to one of the largest corporations of the 19th century. This huge corporation transformed the railroad industry. During the financial panic of 1873, when over half the nation's railroads went bankrupt, the company still issued regular dividends to its stockholders. Same year he consolidated two of his key lines into the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad, one of the first giant corporations in American history. At the age of eighty-two, he got sick really badly. The cause of his death was exhaustion, which was brought on by long suffering from a complication of chronic disorders. And on January 4, 1877 he died. This man made America rich by introducing Railroad to New World.
Very nice! I learned something new today! Only thing is, you have 315 words instead of the 250 asked for. Hope that's within limits of your teacher.
Oh yea , lol you counted each word? LOL! Yeah i was just checking if i have any mistakes cx
Not really, it seemed to me there were more than 250 words. So I put it in "Word" and got the count. The count may not even be correct but should be close.
