the math vocabulary test has 8 true/false questions on it. Assuming that no questions are left blank, how many different ways can the test be completed

OpenStudy (photon336):

hmm maybe we can use a permutation to do this

OpenStudy (michaeljordan23):

could you help me please

OpenStudy (photon336):

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

The number is the product of the number of ways of answering each question.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2

OpenStudy (photon336):

Oh! I see

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Each question can only be answered in two ways, true or false. The way you did it, you are allowing 8 diffrerent answers for the first question, 7 for the second, etc.

OpenStudy (michaeljordan23):

so the answer is 256 ways?

OpenStudy (photon336):

two different answers for each question, but 8 questions in total,
