OpenStudy (kenttopia2015):

can someone quickly explain which one of these is an inverse operation

OpenStudy (kenttopia2015):

a/5=2/b a/4=b/9 a/b=7 2a+3=4b+3

OpenStudy (kenttopia2015):

this is my last chance to complete this work with a 95 or above and is due at 10

OpenStudy (mjdennis):

Are those _exactly_ the answer choices you were given??? I can see the answer, but it ain't good math.

OpenStudy (kenttopia2015):

yes

OpenStudy (kenttopia2015):

do you know which one is an inverse operation?

OpenStudy (kenttopia2015):

i dont mean to sound pushy but i need the answer

OpenStudy (kenttopia2015):

i just have a lot of work ahead of me rn

OpenStudy (mjdennis):

Currently helping two other people, and I don't come to OS to adopt other peoples emergencies. An inverse is an 'undo'. Subtraction is the inverse of addition. If you had y=x-2 then the inverse is x=y+2 Could you check again the problem? a/5 and 0.2*b would be inverses. So would a/0.5 and 2*b. But that's the best I can do with the information given.

OpenStudy (kenttopia2015):

im sorry i didnt mean to sound rude

OpenStudy (kenttopia2015):

im just kinda flustered rn

OpenStudy (mjdennis):

Been there. Good luck. If you can screen-shot the problem, maybe I can improve your chances.

OpenStudy (kenttopia2015):

its ok, i figured it out

OpenStudy (kenttopia2015):

but thank you for helping
