OpenStudy (exploradora1011):

Please help!! Will give medals!! Find the equation of the line specified. The slope is -7, and it passes through ( 5, -3). a. y = -7x - 3 b. y = -7x + 32 c. y = -14x + 32 d. y = -7x - 38

OpenStudy (kelvin8262):

So any idea when you look at those equations?

OpenStudy (exploradora1011):

Not one clue

OpenStudy (kelvin8262):

do you know the equation of y = mx + C?

OpenStudy (mjdennis):

How about the point-slope equation for a line. That would be a good start.

OpenStudy (plainntall):

Maybe using the definition of the slope might help. \[m=rise/run=(y-y _{1})/(x-x _{1}) = -7 : where _ y _{1}=-3 and x _{1}=5\]
