OpenStudy (amberlynnmaxwell):

A rectangle has a length of 4cm, a width of 3 cm, and an area of 12cm. What is the perimeter of the rectangle? I got the answer 12, and I'd just like to check my work. Can someone help me, please? Thanks to everyone.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Did you draw the rectangle?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

do you know formula for perimeter of a rectangle ?

OpenStudy (amberlynnmaxwell):

Yes, I did. Though, I don't know the correct formula for finding the perimeter of a 3D object

OpenStudy (mertsj):

A rectangle is a plane figure. It is not 3 dimensional.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

In general you find perimeter by adding all the sides.

OpenStudy (amberlynnmaxwell):

Ok, thank you for telling me this. :)

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

do you can calculi it now ?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

You are welcome.

OpenStudy (amberlynnmaxwell):

You are as well :) Thank you again for helping with my math, @Mertsj and I can calculate it now @jhonyy9

OpenStudy (amberlynnmaxwell):

Thank you both

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Good for you!!

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):
