@sammixboo

sammixboo (sammixboo):

DO you know what the perimeter of something is?

OpenStudy (mrcoolguy):

no

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Sorry for slow response. TO find the perimeter is to find the length around a shape

sammixboo (sammixboo):

So you would add all the sides together. Lets say we have this rectangle|dw:1464743873690:dw|

sammixboo (sammixboo):

And we have 2 sides of 3 ft, and 2 sides of 12 ft. Let's add all of those sides together to find the perimeter 3 + 3 + 12 + 12 = 30 So the perimeter of that rectangle is 30

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Now that I have given you an example, do you know how to find the perimeter of your rectangle?

OpenStudy (mrcoolguy):

i'm still kinda lost

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Heh, it's OK. Do you know how long the height of the rectangle is?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

And how long the rectangle is?
