@imqwerty help

imqwerty (imqwerty):

Step 1->we must convert the side lengths into yards. we have been given that the length is \(5 \large \frac{1}{2}\) inches long and we also know that the width is \(3\) inches 1 inch = 20yards try converting the given side lengths into yards =] Step 2 -> we have the side lengths in terms of "yards" now we have to find the area of the field in this step the field is rectangular and the area of rectangular field is given by this expression- area= length x width so just plug in the values of length and width here to get your answer

OpenStudy (hocuspucus292333393):

I don't get it

imqwerty (imqwerty):

its okay i'll guide you through

OpenStudy (hocuspucus292333393):

ok ^_^

imqwerty (imqwerty):

the given side lengths are in "inches" can you convert them into yards? =]

OpenStudy (hocuspucus292333393):

ok 5.5

OpenStudy (hocuspucus292333393):

hurry

imqwerty (imqwerty):

no its not 5.5 see this is how you convert the given side lengths into yards-> given length = \(5 \large \frac{1}{2}\) inches =\(5.5\) inches 1 inch= 20 yards multiply both sides with\(5.5\) (1 x 5.5)inches=(20x 5.5) yards so 5.5 inches = 110 yards now we convert the other side into yards- given width=3 inches 1inch = 20yards multiply both sides with 3 (1x3) inches = (20x3) yards 3inches = 60 yards so we get our side lengths -> length =110yards width=50yards ok? =]

imqwerty (imqwerty):

we are converting the side lengths into yards because the options have the unit "yards" and not "inches"

OpenStudy (hocuspucus292333393):

I'm not good at this

imqwerty (imqwerty):

where are you stuck tho?

OpenStudy (hocuspucus292333393):

can u tell me answer

imqwerty (imqwerty):

sure bro :) its 6600 square yards

OpenStudy (hocuspucus292333393):

oh no I put 6000

imqwerty (imqwerty):

D: oh no

OpenStudy (hocuspucus292333393):

its ok well this one u can tell me

OpenStudy (hocuspucus292333393):

http://prntscr.com/bavpwb

imqwerty (imqwerty):

yeah =] for this one you just need to tell the value where the red arrow intersects the scale http://prntscr.com/bavr5o what do you think it is?

OpenStudy (hocuspucus292333393):

is it 64

imqwerty (imqwerty):

nope well we are measuring the angle in anticlockwise direction so we consider these readings which i didn't slashed out - http://prntscr.com/bavrqr

OpenStudy (hocuspucus292333393):

can tell me the answer plz I need to sleep

imqwerty (imqwerty):

okay its 116 http://prntscr.com/bavt5y

OpenStudy (hocuspucus292333393):
