I'll do number 7: 
 One atom becomes two, so that rules A out. I don't know that 'inactive atoms' are, so that rules B out. Nuclear power plants use fission to produce energy, meaning that one atom is split into two creating energy - which is exactly the process the question describes, so that rules D out. And the sun does not rely on fission, so that makes C the answer.
