here are the 3 things I tell new people to follow

1. use the right section

2. do not give out direct answers to question help them by walking them thought the question but never give the answer right away

3. tag people to get help

use these 3 thing and you will get the most out of it

I don't quite see the point in "Welcoming New Users" if they are not here to stay.
Most of them just ask 1 question and they're off, never to come on again. That is why there were sooooooo many inactive accounts.

like LittleDiva12459 was a new user when we first meet now she is at 58

so it depends on the person

like @likeabossssssss said people qui coming because no one helps them

I was almost going to quite because no one would help me but then I meet @Trevor12 and we became good friends

we help each other all the time

i meet littlediva because she asked a question and i welcomed her and she fanned me and i been helping her ever sense

so by welcoming people help then to know the rules and find people who are willing to help them @jabez177

and steven, debby downer, the point of welcoming new users is to make them feel more welcome and give them a place they want to continue to come to. keep in mind it doesnt hurt to be nice and welcoming
