OpenStudy (chrishogan):

So what exactly are you struggling with?

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

i started this assignment and my teacher graded but i didnt do very well.. but i will give you what i did and what you have to fix.. this is what i did : The Strangers that Came to Town by Ambrose Flack is a great read for the group of people learning about how morals are made. The characters have depth and are easy to relate to. Andy is the main character, the protagonist, and is very interesting. Some of the events in the short story are funny; others make you think about how and why things like that happened. The story is from the point of view of 17 year-old Andy. He doesn’t mind pulling pranks and being mischievous, he has a normal sized family. His tone, and the story’s, is one of being very curious but near the end, one of learning. The theme is to not judge people before you get to know them. Andy and his family certainly tried, and at the end, they were rewarded for being so kind. The Strangers That Came to Town is a good read. In it the world of American-boy Andy is shown and how the community of his responds to newcomers. It does portray things in a new, interesting way. The gift at the end is quite a surprise..! This is what my teacher said about it : This is a wonderful start to your work for this assessment! You have a good start to your book review for the story, "The Strangers that Came to Town"! Make sure you have addressed each element, and then complete the other two parts of the assignment and submit all three together! Listed below are the points you have earned in each section so far. If you have earned less than the points available in a section, work some more on that section to improve your total score: Presentation Content 18/25: Intro/Description 15/20: Body/Analysis 7/10: Conclusion/Evaluation Multi-Media Presentation /25: Audio Multi-Media Presentation /20: Visual

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

so i need you to do the audio and visual part of the assignment because thats what i didnt do...

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

@ChrisHogan

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Well I can't do the assignment for you but I can help you with what needs to be finished.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok.. :)

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

You need a stronger intro. You need something that will capture someone's eye and make them pulled into reading your review.

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

You need something better than, Blah Blah is a great book to read.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok!

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

can you help me write .. because im not great at writing :( i really need your help

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Alright, give me just a brief description of the main character, their name, looks, and how they act. Also what is the main climax of the book? And yes, I'll help you write it.

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Also, a good tip for writing, don't repeat yourself.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok thanks your the best! Andy is the main character. He is very observative and he likes pranks and jokes because of where he poisoned the Duvitche's mess of fish. He is capable of being sorry and he is very obedient to his parents.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

@ChrisHogan

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

The theme of the book in your words were, don't judge someone before you get to know them, or something along the lines of that.

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Make that not only your theme, but your intro.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

right :)

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

You get what I mean? Intros can be tough, so can analysis.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

yes i get you.. :)

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Aight, you didn't do so well on your analysis. I noticed you kinda jumped around while doing the body paragraphs. You need to make sure to go from topic to topic so your sentences flow together and are adjacently correct.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

So here's an example. Andy is very adventurous, sometimes not for the best. He can sometimes get himself into a wild predicament. And continue that a bit. Then move on to him and his family.

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Just make sure you section things off

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

You wouldn't want someone to make a sandwich for you and just cram stuff between to pieces of bread.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok but can you help me write the rest please.. ?

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Do you mean the analysis and intro?

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

well isnt that the part that you said wasnt that good.. my teacher graded it a 18/25

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Yeah that's a 72 just in terms of x/100

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

yea...

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

I'm just considering writing it and sending you the entire thing. But I'll need time to do that.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

how long? i can give you some time.. :)

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Hmm, I'd say somewhere between 1-3 hours.

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Depending on how good you want it.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

i need this assignment done in 1 hour.. i think you can do it by then!

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

and i mean i want it as best as it can be! lol :)

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Hmm. I'll try.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok!!!

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

but can you stay in the post please.. dont leave :)

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

I will.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

thanks! and do you want me to give you what needs to be in the assignment again.. :)

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Nah, I think i've got it.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok! but remember i also need the visual and audio part of the assignment . theres 3 parts.. Intro/Description Body/Analysis Conclusion/Evaluation Multi-Media Presentation Audio Multi-Media Presentation Visual

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

You do the video/audio

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

i dont know what to do for that part though... well whatever we can figure that after you do the assignment..

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

alright!! so are you doing the assignment? wait dont you need to read the story that i read to do it and understand it more? its not that long i think you should read it :)

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

@ChrisHogan you there? :)

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

The Strangers that Came to Town is a short story and considered one of the best works of Ambrose Flack. Central in the story corresponds to the struggle felt by an immigrant family in Croatia as they try to adjust to the American way of life. Andy, a rather curious and kindly 17-year-old boy, is the protagonist. He proves that being curious can be rather dangerous and somewhat misleading. Andy’s traits however, would remain to be significant as acceptance is gained by the Duvitch family

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

dang! that was fast!

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

are you done?

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Thats all i could do.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok ... i can give you more time :)

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Well i'm actually gonna need to go..

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

aw ok :(

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

but wait!

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

I tried the best i could with how much time i had

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

tell me what you did? what you gave me is what ? the intro only?

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

mhm.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

and the analysis?

OpenStudy (smartnerd1111):

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

OpenStudy (smartnerd1111):

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):
