Help now pls i will medal If you were solving a system of equations and you came to a statement like 4 = 4, what do you know about the solution to the system? The solution is (4, 4) The solution is x = 4 and y = 4 There is no solution There are infinitely many solutions

OpenStudy (amypurplediaz28):

pls help with my question

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

4=4 is always true that means its true for all values

OpenStudy (amypurplediaz28):

i think the answer is d but i am not sure if that ties in with the 4=4 being true

OpenStudy (kennykidboi):

There is no solution. The lines have the same slope and are parallel, therefore they will not ever intersect

OpenStudy (kennykidboi):

:)

OpenStudy (amypurplediaz28):

Thank you @kennykidboi your the best :)

OpenStudy (kennykidboi):

np

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

there are two possibility no solution or infinite solution depend upon coefficient of x ,y and constant term

OpenStudy (queenie):

infinite solutions

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

@queenie u r correct.

OpenStudy (queenie):

if the statements are equal.....such as 4 = 4 or 8 = 8 or 0 = 0, there is infinite solutions. If the statement is unequal...such as 0 = 2 or 3 = 6, there is no solution

OpenStudy (amypurplediaz28):

Thank you everybody for your help. :)
