why dropping the bomb on Japan was justified?
This should be in the history section. :-) You might have a better chance at a reply there, buddy.
To let Japan know that they aren't playing about the war ans that they should stop trying them because they shouldn't have messed up the peril harbor
The bomb was dropped to prevent further loss of life on both sides. One must remember that the Japanese people had been brain washed into believing that the U.S. would have done horrible things to all of them in an act of retribution for the attack on Pearl Harbor. This meant that, had we not dropped the bombs, we would have had to invade. the invasion of japan would have caused mass suicide of the Japanese people rather than just two cities. In a way we saved both our troops and the vast majority of Japanese lives. Therefore dropping the bombs was the only effective way to end the war on our terms while sparing the most lives possible on both sides.
