OpenStudy (alexa98):

What is the probability that a data value in a normal distribution is between a z-score of -0.28 and a z-score of 0.64? Round your answer to the nearest tenth of a percent.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Does your teacher want you to use a calculator? Or a table?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Using either tool, find the area under the standard normal curve to the left of z=0.64. Next, find the same to the left of z=-0.28. subtract the smaller from the larger. The result is both 1) an area under the curve and 2) the probability that a certain data value is distributed between those 2 z-scores.
