Lightning Question!
Two dice are rolled. The probability of one die shows a 4 is?
Is 5/18 correct? If so, explanation?
wouldn't it be 2/12
because there are twelve different possibilities and two of them are 4
so 2/12 or 1/6

I agree with @RedoHawk. Each die will have 6 on it, add them together to get 12. Each die only has four appearing once. So, 2 instances, 12 total outcomes. 2/12 = 1/6.
uhmm. I'm pretty sure that there are 10 outcomes where there is one 4 for each pair
so |dw:1464907406224:dw|
|dw:1464907413713:dw| Total outcomes: 36 Exactly one 4, count the X =10/36 At least one 4 count the X and the O = 11/36 Both are 4, count the O = 1/36 It depends on the interpretation of the question.
