B

OpenStudy (lilkg77):

Can you explain @rayep12

OpenStudy (rayep12):

Its b because a and d could just be a coincidence and just does not make any sense at all, so i think the most reasonable answer should be B

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

its Not A or C because a linear correlation does not give you enough information, you need to know if its positive or negative. Its not D because correlation does not imply causation, it may seem that more rainy days lead to more tomatoes but there is no evidence of causation. Therefore answer is B

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I agree with B. Think about fertilizer and sun as other factors in producing tomatoes. Also the type of soil. Maybe the reason the rain appears to have such a great effect is that they are planted in sandy soil and need lots of rain. In heavy soil, too much rain is bad for tomatoes.

thx guys
