Why were the Battles of Gettysburg and Vicksburg significant? A.They were the last battles of the war and resulted in the Confederacy's surrender. B.They turned the war in favor of the North in both the eastern and western theaters. C.They were the first major battles of the war and showed how costly it would be. D.They were major victories for the South and left the northern armies weakened. I think it's B. Am I right?
