Imagine a plane and a cone intersecting to form a parabola b)Imagine the plane moving so that it keeps the same angle, but its point of intersection with the axis moves in the direction of the apex of the cone and eventually passes through the apex. Describe with happens to the parabola and write equations that describe how the parabola changes.

You might start by simplifying this problem: Assume that the plane is perpendicular to the x-axis. Move the plane left and right, using the x-axis scale divisions to measure your progress. Now answer the question. Then, if you wish, presuppose that the the plane is no longer perpendicular to the x-axis, but rather makes an angle with that axis. How would your answers change?
