A pair of equations is shown below: y = 2x − 1 y = 4x − 5 Part A: In your own words, explain how you can solve the pair of equations graphically. Write the slope and y-intercept for each equation that you will plot on the graph to solve the equations.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Please do whatever you can towards solving this set of problems and then share your results. There are several approaches for solving systems of linear equations, including substitution, elimination by addition/subtraction, graphing and more. Which approach or approches are you most comfortable with? Apply that approach here, and then explain as best you can what you did and why.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

In both cases, the slope of the line can be read immediately and directly from the given equation, as can the y-intercept.

OpenStudy (pumpkin1102):

I don't understand what it means to solve the equation graphically

OpenStudy (photon336):

those graphs are in the form y = m(x)+b where b is the y intercept that means the point where the graph touches the y axis when x = 0

OpenStudy (pumpkin1102):

😁😶😕

OpenStudy (pumpkin1102):

I don't understand this
