(05.01) The graph of a system of equations with different slopes will have no solutions. Always Sometimes Never

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Amy, you posted this very same question a few minutes ago, and I responded in detail. Now it appears that you have closed your previous post and have reposted the same question again without following any of the advice I gave you. This is unacceptable.

OpenStudy (amypurplediaz28):

yes you answered in detail and i did not understand so since i didnot understand your teaching dont answer this question again

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Go back to your previous post, invest some time and effort, and then try to graph two lines with different slopes, as I suggested.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

You come across as being totally helpless and unwilling to invest any effort in your own learning. This is not the way to go if you truly want to understand mathematics, and beyond that, by closing a good previous post, you have wasted my time as well as my own.

OpenStudy (amypurplediaz28):

i did try but it was wrong so if you feel so strongly about what your saying block me and dont answer me because your very detailed response wasnt much help @mathmale

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Share what you actually did yourself. surely you have graphed straight lines before.

OpenStudy (amypurplediaz28):

i cant show you because my computer does not have a camera to take a picture on what i graphed

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Use the Draw utility (below), as I did in my previous posts.

These two lines have different slopes.|dw:1465223454095:dw|

OpenStudy (mathmale):

These two lines (one resting on top of the other) have the same equation and the same slope.|dw:1465223493808:dw|

OpenStudy (mathmale):

now, what do y ou need to know?

OpenStudy (amypurplediaz28):

that there the same
