RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

Have you tried solving for each letter, then comparing it??

OpenStudy (niuuu):

@RhondaSommer well I was never taught so could you help walk me through it?

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

if I have...\[\frac{n-5}{x}=y\] and I am solving for \[n\] I multiply x on both sides of the equal sign to get rid of the fraction making it this:\[n-5=xy\] Then I would add 5 so that n was alone. making n\[n=xy+5\]
