(There is more then 1 answer) Mark each statement if it correctly describes the basic organizational structure of the Christian Church in A.D. 800. A. Monks answered to the authority of their abbots. B. Priests answered directly to the pope. C. Priests worked directly with the people. D. Monks lived apart from the towns and villages.
I think this one would be A, C, and D because Abbots were the ones who were in charge of their monasteries, and gave the orders. The priest answered to only 2 people, and that was the pope and along with his bishop. Priest also gave advise to the people when they were in need. D is just obvious, Monks were men who had separated themselves from society in order to lead holy lives. So they would live apart from towns and villages. Hope this helped :)
