Graphing an equation: y=2/3x-1 I know how to graph I just don't know what the (x,y)

Choose any number and plug it in for x once you find the y, plot it onto a graph

How would you know you have the correct number for y?

When you plug the value of x and solve for y

So I did y=2/3(3)-1 and got 1.. so then x would be 3 and I would have to plug in 1 in y to see if it works?
