what does this piece of literature mean? There comes a time when the cup of endurance runs over, and men are no longer willing to be plunged into an abyss of injustice where they experience the bleakness of corroding despair.
He uses a metaphor in this paragraph when he says “the cup on endurance runs over, and men are no longer willing to be plunged into an abyss of injustice where they experience the bleakness of corroding despair.” What he means in the when something bad happens too much or crosses the limit, no one is willing to wait a long time for it to end, they want it to end right away. He uses the metaphor to appeal to his audience from a realistic angle, it also helps make the letter more urgent. Hope this helps :)
