OpenStudy (seth):

which method for calculating a credit card balance does not take into account the purchases or the payments made during the current billing cycle?

OpenStudy (mathmate):

By definition, all purchases and payments made during the current billing cycle is included. Do you mean "which method for calculating \(interest~included~in\) a credit card balance does not take into account the purchases or the payments made during the current billing cycle?" That happens when the previous payment was paid in full and on or before the due date. If there is a single cent spilled over, all outstanding purchases including current ones, are charged interests as of the purchase date.
