satellite73 (satellite73):

you know know what it was, but you know if you increase it by 20% you get \(250,000\) to increase a number by \(20\%\) you multiply it by \(100\%+20\%=120\%=1.2\) so you know \[1.2\times P=250,000\] and you can solve that for \(P\) via \[P=250,000\div1.2\]

OpenStudy (pphalke):

its 25,000 not 250,000

satellite73 (satellite73):

satellite73 (satellite73):
