How can Linear Equations be used in nutrition? Can anyone help provide a few examples? Will medal and fan! ^.^ Thank you!

OpenStudy (atsbatsratsmats):

@.Sam. Do you think you could help? I'd really appreciate it! :))

OpenStudy (atsbatsratsmats):

@mathmate :)

OpenStudy (mathmate):

In counting calories, for example, Natural cereals have 135 Cal/oz, and 3 g/oz of protein, Whole Almonds have 165 Cal/oz, 6g/oz of protein, Suppose you'd like to have 300 Cal and 9 g protein from a mix of cereal and protein, then you can set up a system of linear equations to solve for it.

OpenStudy (mathmate):

* cereal and almonds

OpenStudy (atsbatsratsmats):

Alright, so do you think you could go step by step with me on making linear equations for the above on cereal? @mathmate

OpenStudy (mathmate):

I already created an example for you. Please, I would like you to get it started until you get stuck.
