Probability

OpenStudy (eskelle):

OpenStudy (mathmate):

This is an equivalent case to drawing a name with replacement. Since the name can be drawn again, the principal is drawing again from the same 400 students. So the probability of drawing from the same teacher at the second draw is the same as that in the first draw. Are you able to find the probability of drawing a name under Voyageur in the first (or second) draw?

OpenStudy (eskelle):

82/400

OpenStudy (sshayer):

simplify it.

OpenStudy (eskelle):

41/200

@eskelle These are some of the rules of Open Study. I am showing you this just in case you are not yet aware of them and it would not be pleasant if you get a warning or get suspended one day! At Open Study, we encourage students to learn, and understand the material. Students who want just the answers, or helpers who just give out answers are against the rules.

OpenStudy (eskelle):

im aware of them

OpenStudy (eskelle):

i read them signing up

OpenStudy (mathmate):

Oh, I beg your pardon. I did not realize that you are the asker of the question. 82/400 was your attempt. Sorry!

OpenStudy (eskelle):

alright

OpenStudy (mathmate):

@eskelle My apologies again!
