The answers are looking for qualitative information about what happens if you iterate the function many times. So, the function might get bigger and bigger as you iterate, or smaller and smaller, or it  might approach a constant value. 
It may jump back and forth between two or more values as you go.....

The easiest way to do this sort of thing is to try to set up a spreadsheet in 
(google sheets or excel r something) and have the computer do all the calculating for you.... Then just look at the numbers and see what happens.
