Luther and Martin are members of different video game libraries. Luther pays an $85 membership fee and $9 for each video game he rents. The following function shows the total amount of money, y, in dollars, that Martin pays for renting x number of video games: y = 6x + 60. How many more dollars does Luther pay for a membership fee than Martin? $6 $9 $15 $25

Hey! I'd say he pays $25 more. In "y = 6x + 60", 6 would probably how much Martin pays for each video game he rents, so $60 is the membership fee. If Luther pays $85 for membership fee, and Martin pays $60, you do 85 - 60 = 25, so $25 is the answer.
ok! thanks :) please help me with more..
Which of the following describes the graph of a linear function? It is V shaped and it passes through the origin. It is a straight line in one portion and a curve in another portion. Its y-values decrease at a constant rate as its x-value decreases. Its y-values increase at a nonconstant rate as its x-value increases.
Alright..
That would be the third choice, obviously. Are you doing the same math I'm doing? lol
are you in flvs? lol
Lol yeah. Grade 7 Math
lol im in pre-algebra .. you?
um... IDK... All I know is that I'm doing 7th Grade math. I guess that's Pre-Algebra?
no theres a speicific pre-algebra class.. but im in 7th grade..
i also do m/j civics and language arts 2.. you?
Oh nice! I'm in 6th Grade math, but I'm in the Accelerated program so... I don't know exactly what courses I take in school. Yes, I go to a traditional school.

Oh, well... I am doing 7th and 8th. I'm going into 9th grade math next year. Note that I'm only a 6th grader now.
