- what is the probability with Six dice six times six sixes roll ?
@mathstudent55 @zepdrix @pooja195 @mathmate
@jhonyy9 Do you mean to find the probability of rolling all six six-sided dice that come out all sixes, and this happening six times in a row?
yes exactly - this is the exercise question
Well, first find the probability of rolling a six from one six-sided die. What would that be?
1/6 or not ?
Yes, that's correct! Now have you heard of the multiplication rule, which says that for an experiment that has multiple independent stages, the probability of success of ALL stages is the product of the individual probabilities? For example, if you toss a head with probability 1/2, then P(tossing 4 heads) will be (1/2)^4.
ty. but i not heard about this never
so from this result that the right answer on my posted question will be (1/.6)^6 ?
The reason I bring this up is because this will let you calculate the probability of throwing 6 sixes in ONE throw, i.e. (1/6)^6. Now, based on the same idea, you can calculate the probability of throwing 6 sixes 6 times in a row!
sorry but i not can believing it that is it true so will be ((1/6)^6)^6 ?
1/(6)^36 ?
Yes, this is how difficult it is!
ty. @mathmate i appreciat really your help thank you very very much
No problem! Hope you get back your real identity soon! :)
