OPENSTUDY FAMILY I NEED YOUR HELP

OpenStudy (lorenbeech):

The following passage is taken from Ecclesiastes, a book in the Old Testament. First, summarize the main idea behind the quote. Then write a well-organized essay in which you agree with, disagree with, or qualify the assertion the quote is making. Give logical reasons for your position. Support your thesis with evidence drawn from your reading, personal experience, and/or observation. Eccelsiastes 7:3 "Sorrow is better than laughter: for by sadness of the countenance the heart is made better."

I usually find that the commentaries on BibleHub are pretty helpful, http://biblehub.com/commentaries/ecclesiastes/7-3.htm that's where I would probably start.. hmm

OpenStudy (smartnerd1111):

yeah

OpenStudy (lorenbeech):

Thanks as always Zep. For literally being the only person who doesn't have an attitude.

0_0 The Mods won't like this. You might get in trouble.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

It seems like verse 2 gives a lot of insight. It's better to go to a funeral than a party, because that's where every person ends up. Being aware of your own mortality gives you better perspective on how to live.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

I dunno, this is a weird verse :) never seen it before hehe

OpenStudy (lorenbeech):

I appreciate it Zep :)
