Weight times distance from pivot for the left = weight times distance from pivot for the right
OpenStudy (shikamaru11):
2 * 0.25 = 0.5N O.o after that step i can't understand
OpenStudy (agent0smith):
I don't have a clue what you are doing with those numbers.
Find the weight on the left using W=mg. How far is the weigh on the left from the pivot?
How far is the centre of mass of the rod from the pivot?
weight*distance from pivot [on left] = weight*distance from pivot [on right]
OpenStudy (shikamaru11):
well i know and you're rite but these're the only numbers I'd that's why I asked
OpenStudy (agent0smith):
Use units, make things clear as to what you are doing. But first see my above post.
