OpenStudy (jose702):

Which of these is an example of discrete data? A. Temperature B. Area of a room C. Bananas in a bunch D. Distance

OpenStudy (jose702):

does this work?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Temperature is continuous data because you can have something like 50 degrees, 50.1 degrees, 50.01 degrees, etc. You can have any decimal number you want The same applies to area and distance though negative values aren't allowed The only discrete data value is the number of bananas. You can only use positive whole numbers

OpenStudy (jose702):

so all in all what is the answer :P
