OpenStudy (photon336):

Anyone use open study on an iPad/ tablet? Just curios, can you still use the draw tools and equation bars.

pooja195 (pooja195):

I use Openstudy on my kindle at times....I don't have access to the draw tools on it :-/ or the equation bars however if I hand type latex it'll show up

OpenStudy (photon336):

I see people use latex all the time. Do you have any good sites that you recommend? I used to use Jay's extension a while back

pooja195 (pooja195):

Depends on what you want to use LaTex for....if it's math then it's best to use the equation tool if you can't use it because you're on a tablet/ipad then consider learning the basics like: \[\huge~\rm~\bf \frac{ 4 }{ 5}\] You'll notice that `\[\ and \]` are used at the beginning and end. I don't really bother with this I just use jay's extension I don't really use mobile anymore it gets annoying

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

No, no draw tool, no equation editor, you have to type it in by hand. Adding insult to injury, if you use the iOS app, you don't get any sort of preview of the typeset equations. It really is quite tedious to use. Kind of like OpenStudy on a computer, except even worse!

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

yeah basically on mobile is useless, even with the puffin app, you can access chat and stuff but SO laggy

OpenStudy (photon336):

\[ \frac{4}{5} \] :) got it
