You have 20% and 70% lemon juice and you need 20 gallons of 40% lemon juice.

you need "x" gallons of the 20% solution and
you need "y" gallons of the 70% solution

x (gallons of 20%) + y (gallons of 70%) = 20 (gallons of 40%)

.2x + .7y = (.40 * 20)

Now all you have to do is solve for x and y and you have your answer.
