Yes, I did it......and no I don't really care if you call me strange. This is in honor of Christina Grimme who was senselessly murdered on Friday by a thug who had no appreciation for human life and beauty. She was wonderful and one of my biggest inspirations and now she's even more of an inspiration because I am reminded that life is short and anything can happen and we must make use of the time that we have here to do what we are supposed to do.
It's short and was written on the spot and not by any means a masterpiece, but here goes anyhow.
IN HONOR OF O' girl that I know not of so much talent and faith I hope you have wings that breath the air of the skies and voice to majestically sing praise with upraised eyes - Forth with hope you know there are these of us below Still remembering your bright smile and angelic soul. Still wishing to take back what had become inevitable. We all miss you as an only drop of water out of the ocean wide Only in hope last, can we wish to see you on that heavenly tide.
That was written beautifully. If I'm to be completely honest, I didn't really pay much attention to Christina Grimmie...I didn't really know who she was. But last night, I was reading about her death and I, too, found it as an inspiration to live life to its fullest. Who knows when our lives will be taken away from us. Anyhoo, back on topic. I found this really, truly amazing <3 keep it up Atsie (:
Thank you immensely Haley. <3
You're so very welcome
This is a beautiful piece and analogy for her death <3 Rest in peace to that young lady and keep writing @Atsie
It think it is very beautiful @Atsie don't stop writing.
Thank you very much @batmano3 and @Keigh2015 I appreciate all of you taking the time to comment! Like I really do! <3
This is beautiful Atsie. I didn't really know who this was, but my friends were really sad over her death. It's amazing that'd you would do something like this for someone who never knew you. <3 Keep up the beautiful poetry writing!
@Ms-Brains Thank you so much. I felt really close to her although I never met her. Maybe I will in Heaven someday. :) Thank you so so much though. I'm very greatful for your response!
It was extremely well written and great insight on the situation. She was a huge inspiration for my music and when she went on the voice it gave me hope that I could achieve great success one day. Even though we are in two completely different genres. Her accomplishments and her success rather on the internet or on stage may never be forgotten.
Very impressive poem.
In it you capture , sadness , beauty and hope.
@A_Burning_Masquerade Absolutely. She was the one that made me want to learn piano because she was so skilled at it! Thank you for your thoughts! :) @welshfella Thank you immensely sir! :)) I tried to capture it all as well as I could.
i just found out today that she was killed, but what you written is beautiful and well written
Salutes to @Atsie ! All i want to say is NEVER GIVE UP :)
I'm actually at a loss for words, I really don't know what to say. To be honest I have never heard of her until I watched a video of my favorite youtuber (I know, but I just had to say it) and it's really sad that those things happen. Your poem is beautiful as always. Live life to the fullest because we will never know when something should happen.
